Payment Policies

Our website is now updated so that we will have a more convenient way to sign up and pay for Classes, Sessions and Workshops here at The Artists Playground.  In order to improve the workflow and cut down on the administrative work involved in running the Studio, all sign up and payments for classes, will need to be done thru our website. We do offer payment by check which you can mail in once form is completed on line. Please email  info@theartistsplayground.com

All Workshops/ Six Week Courses /Monthly On Going Classes  MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE THE START OF THE FIRST CLASS OF THE MONTH OR FIRST CLASS OF THE SESSION/WORKSHOP

​PAT'S STUDIO CLASSES 

  • Two weeks paid notice is to be given if you will no longer be participating one of Pat's Studio Classes that that are held weekly throughout the year. These ongoing classes are in high demand and we would need time to notify those on our waitlist to fill the vacancy.

CHILDREN'S SESSIONS

  • Children’s Sessions fill up quickly and are open for registration early. If you would like your child to return to the same class in the following session, it is imperative that you sign up well ahead of time. All Sessions must be paid before the session starts and there is no prorating for late starts.

Refund Policy

This policy applies for all classes, workshops and any six week adult, teen or children's course held at The Artists Playground. Refunds will only be granted when a student submits a Request for Refund Form at least 5 business days before the start of the workshop. Only 75% of the workshop tuition will be refunded. Materials fees are not refundable. Neither refunds nor credits are given for absences that occur during a Class/Session/Course or Workshop.  Cost of Course and material fees are non-transferable.

Workshop/Course Cancellation Policy

Workshops/Courses are subject to cancellation in the event of low participation or in rare cases  the inability of the instructor to  hold the Workshop/ Course.  Registered students will receive a 100% tuition refund. 

Make -Ups for Weekly Classes ( Kids Classes & Pat's Studio Art Class )

Missed classes (only the above classes )* can be made up in another class ( as space allows ) and only while they are an active student. Students can hold onto only two make-ups at a time, unless they make special arrangements with us due to extenuating circumstances. If you miss a scheduled make-up then it goes to “Make-up Heaven” and cannot be rescheduled.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/ CLASS CANCELLATION 

When Newburyport schools close due to bad weather, we will cancel morning and afternoon classes. A decision will be made later in the day for the evening classes.  Your Instructor will notify evening students via email. Classes canceled due to bad weather are not rescheduled.
