Artistic Sketching 101 - Supply List
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the
Sketching Workshop at the Artists' Playground.
Over the course of the next six sessions, we will be covering many aspects of sketching starting with simple pencil and paper and eventually adding tone and even color. Our first meeting on Thursday the 9th will cover the basics and many of the materials we will be using over the course of the workshop, so no need to have everything ahead of time. This being said, please bring (at least) the following materials for that first meeting (see attached for suggestions):
1. Sketchbook: 8" x 10" suggested minimum size,
(preferably spiral bound as they are easier to manage.)
2. Pencil, either mechanical (,9mm) or wooden, HB lead or softer
3. Eraser of some kind, Rubber or plastic and kneaded erasers.
Additional materials will be recommended as work progresses, but these minimums will get us through the first session. If you have further questions, you can reach me at this e-mail address. Thanks again for your interest and I look forward to working with you perfecting your sketching talents.
P.S. A word of advice: It's only a sketch, so RELAX! (and let's have fun)
