This
is the mini-mall where our studio lives. We have been here for 20+
years. We love our landlord, David Hall (Hall & Moskow), and we are
blessed with great neighbors. But to call The
Tannery Marketplace a
'mini-mall' is really a great injustice. It is (mostly) an old
tannery that has been wonderfully and thoughtfully converted into a
complex of five buildings, each with its own flavor and character.
Visit the shops and services on line or, even better, in person!

When we shop on-line for art supplies we like
Cheap Joe's. They usually have what we want, at fair prices.
Their service has also been great. If you visit the site, check
out the other, art-related stuff going on.
We
also like Art Supply Warehouse. Here you will find thousands of
art supplies and picture frames at some of the lowest prices
anywhere! Theirinventory includes art supplies from the most
respected names in the industry: Creative Mark, LUKAS, Matisse
Derivan, Chroma, Sennelier, Silverbrush, Liquitex, Derwent, Da
Vinci, Golden, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, and many more!
When
we shop locally because we need it fast and need to know its
probably going to be in stock, we drive to Beverly. Art Supplies
Wholesale is packed with just about anything you might need for
your art project. They are a bit hard to find. When you find the
little mini-mall, you have to drive down and in back of the
building. They have a map in their 'About Us' section.
A
good source for on-line framing is Graphic Dimensions, known
online as pictureframes.com. They carry many frame styles that
you can order either pre-made or 'precut', that you assemble
yourself. You can also order corner samples of your favorite
styles to try on your pictures.
North
Light Book Club has a large selection of material on all art
mediums. If you join you can get a good deal on your initial
purchase and then a choice each month, which you can decline online.
Newburyport
Framers: Custom archival framing featuring the new Wizard
computerized mat cutter. Variety of economical ready-made frames in
stock including "Plein Air" style gallery frames.
Do-It-Yourself Supplies for: Mounting, Matting & Framing.
