Kids Creating all Kinds of Delightful Treasures

The Wednesday kids are having fun creating all sorts of interesting items. Every child in this class is overflowing with creative ideas. We all work together helping each other helping them accomplish their vision. Some of the kids like Kristina below needs no help at all.  She has the mind of an engineer. Don’t forget you can click on a photo to enlarge it.

Below left, Emma and Damian are working with flour and balloons to make stress balls. This is the kind of gift many people would like, especially if they have anxiety issues. Below right, Hope is painting her sculpture, Morgan is painting on a canvas and Jane is looking for glue or paint to finish her creation.

The adorable young lady, below, is Jane. She is very creative and absolutely loves to do art. Wendy and I are thrilled to have her with us. We are hoping she will be able to stay until she is 13 or so, like many of our kids.

Below is Maria. She is almost/is 13 and has been with us for several years. She will be helping us this summer with the Tannery Arts Camp. Maria was having fun and goofing off when I took this photo. She is amazing! Marie is great at solving problems, eager to help the little kids and chock full of creative ideas along with the know how of how to make them happen. I can’t wait to see what she becomes when she is all grown up.

Last, but certainly not least, is Katherine adding details to her sculpture. I wish I had gotten a better photo showing her face. She is pretty, smart, independent, thoughtful, and always polite. I love the way she supports and encourages the other kids, especially her younger  friend Morgan. You can see more about Katherine in our older post:

Incredible gift. Posted on November 15, 2012

I am very happy to say that Katherine gave me her sculpture. It will be on display in the studio window if you happen to walk by. Thanks again Katherine, I love it!

Thanks to all of you for encouraging me in my endeavor to make the Artist Playground the best place ever. Sometimes I wish there were more days in the week to accommodate all the parents that call to sign up their children. We are blessed to have lots and lots of happy kids doing what they love to do.

Don’t forget!!! We now have a Facebook Page and it is just sitting there waiting for you to LIKE us!
