Model Magic with Kate Carter

Yesterday at the studio, during the Tannery Arts Camp, the kids created bugs out of Model Magic. Kate Carter (above) gave them an overview of ways to use the model magic to make their imaginary  bugs. Has anyone ever seen a purple ant with jewels on their antenna and bright orange pipe cleaners for legs? What fun! Both the younger and older kids were totally focused. Every once in a while someone would let out a giggle because they were so delighted with what they were creating. Life doesn’t get much better than this.

Check out the  container (below) that they got to use as a home for their creatures. Boy, was that popular! Thanks Chuck for the work you did to make that happen, you were right! The kids had bugs crawling up the sides and along the top. For some of the kids, this was the most popular activity of the week so far.

As always, thanks for reading our blog and telling your family and friends.
